The Jackson Plan - great British cooking: #sgfood #sg #singapore #restaurants #sgfoodreview #restaurant #pub #dining
Named for the English leutenant Philip Jackson who was tasked by Sir Stamford Raffles to layout Singapore’s urban plan in 1822 - hence the development of ethnic quarters like Chinatown, Little India and Kampong Glam – The Jackson Plan is, ironically, anything but ethnic. It is fashioned as a British gastropub – yes, from the ale, beer, English General Manager - John Kernan, right down to the Scottish-accented chef, Christopher Dugan. Marvel as you may at the celebration of Britain, the proprietor is Italian restaurateur, Beppe de Vito.
