Kok Sen Restaurant 30-32 Keong Saik Road 6223-2005 Opens daily 11.30am-2.30pm & 5pm-11pm (Closed on alternate Mondays) Tucked away in a row of shophouses, Kok Sen Restaurant carries an old-school feel. It's reminiscent of a Malaysian-style coffee shop, with its staff rattling off orders in a mix of Cantonese and Mandarin, its walls pasted with orange cards announcing its house specials. Never mind that its location isn't easily accessible via public transport - it's packed by 6pm, and even the tables outside are fully occupied. According to owner Wong Kok Sen, 65, it is his fresh, homemade food that keeps customers coming back. "Everything - even our prawn paste and tofu - are made from scratch.
