Upmarket Thai restaurant Kha has been around since 2008, when it opened in HortPark in Alexandra Road. It moved to its current premises in Martin Road two years ago. But I have never been a fan even though both locations boast a lovely ambience, especially at HortPark where warm wooden furniture and an abundance of greenery formed a stylish yet warm decor. That was because the food never did hit the spot. While the dishes were dressed up with quality ingredients such as wagyu, flavours were too toned down. I could get a better fix elsewhere when I was in the mood for tongue-tingling tom yum goong and Thai curries. But last month, the restaurant's menu was totally revamped by new chef Adam Cliff, an Australian who has worked in well-known Thai restaurants such as Nahm in both London and Bangkok, and Bo.lan Bangkok.
