NEW POST * : Le Chasseur - Must try their claypot rice & tau suan!
Le Chasseur is a very humble looking restaurant opposite Clarke Quay Central. Le Chasseur means “The Hunter” in French. The owner was trained as an engineer and turned to cooking while living in Mauritius. He used to own a restaurant with the same name there. So when he came back to Singapore, he decided to use the same name. The haze in Singapore has been very very bad for the past week. Eating in open space is difficult………Once you enter the restaurant, you will be greeted by many many food photos pasted on the wall. They have a menu, I think. But it is easier to order by looking at the wall photos. There are soooooooo many dishes and it is hard to make decisions. But one of the MUST TRY at Le Chasseur is their Claypot Rice (small $11, $20 big).
