Table at 7 - a rare combination of Indonesian and French food in one place

I decided to check out Table At 7 recently after the closure of Sage. The menu, done simply, is unique in that it is 80% western with some Indonesian dishes in between -and mind you, those Indonesian options were pretty good too, not just a side show. I started with the foie gras, a large piece of goose liver that was paired with cranberries. Another starter I had was the grilled seafood, which consisted of two prawns and three pieces of scallops - a little pricey at $18. This was followed by a thick and flavourful seafood bouillabaise. The portions of the soup was generous and one can see a lot of effort was put into extracting the goodness of the shellfish in the soup. Less favourable was the oxtail soup - which was a tad too oily. For my main course I had the Duck Confit, which had really crispy skin wrapped around the salty dry meat.
