Safe to eat NUH food left at unmanned stall?
A reader, Miranda, who saw that at KopiTiam foodcourt at 3am one morning recently in the National University Hospital, had the same question and told citizen website Stomp about it. A spokesman for the 24-hour foodcourt told Stomp that there was a staff from the stall preparing food in the kitchen at that time. But it was not clear whether the food was leftover or freshly prepared. It was assumed that it was leftover food as there was no staff at the stall. Said the KopiTiam spokesman: "As this food court operates 24hrs daily, we hope to seek the Stomper’s understanding that, given the wee hours of the operation, it would not be economically feasible for the tenant to hire more staff.
