The best Peking Ducks

Peach Blossoms has had its ups and downs. The Chinese restaurant went through periods when it was popular, then it was not; then it had good food, then it did not. Ultimately, it became regarded as a restaurant which existed, but not much more. Recently, a new chef came onboard and things are looking up. Chef Chan Shun Wong, 32, is from Hong Kong and is the latest chef to try to revive the restaurant. It is unknown how much of a change he has introduced, but the food is certainly tasting better. The two times I ate there since Chef Chan joined were two of my best experiences there. Both times I had the barbecued Peking duck ($38 for half a duck) and it didn't disappoint. It is one of the restauant's signature dishes and for good reason: The skin is crispy, the flesh is tender and it is not too oily. But when I was there unannounced, it was the details that failed.
