Christened as the upbeat, boisterous younger brother of the polished Jigger & Pony, Sugarhall is an all-new bar and restaurant concept (just right next door) by Aki Eguchi that wows with the best of honest, charcoal-licked grills by Chef Polo Seah and tasty rum cocktails. Those unsure about the menu, or simply too tipsy after a few of their brilliant rum cocktails, just leave it to the personable staff - their recommendations are spot-on. Over the course of our 2 visits, we had 5 different starters, each delicious in their own way. Highlights include the Rainbow Trout ($16), enjoyed with fennel, watermelon and a bright passionfruit foam; the fatty, meltingly tender Pork Knuckle ($14); and the robust, herbed Broken Pork Sausage ($14).
