Tai Fatt Hou Cuisine Chong Wah Coffee & Restaurant Block 28 Jalan Bukit Merah (enter from Hoy Fatt Road) Mr Anthony Wong unabashedly proclaimed himself King of Ngau Lam (braised beef brisket) in old posters on his business at Chong Wah coffeeshop in Jalan Bukit Merah. Then he made another bold attempt - announced publicly that he would selling his business with the recipe for the popular beef noodles for $200,000. Although it was just a fraction of the $3.5million asking price of Kay Lee Roast Meats, critics slammed his move as a copycat of the latter's attempt to make big bucks by putting up their business for sale. But Mr Wong is seriously wishing for a young Singaporean, who has the business acumen and daring, to brand the beef noodle business well and take it further - such as selling it at a chain of outlets.
