Which Thye Hong Hokkien Mee outlet is good?
Good 'old Thye Hong Hokkien Mee has become even more famous lately after news on its Tokyo branch opening in trend-bending Harajuku was reported in the Singapore media. Although it has around 10 outlets in Singapore, the one at the Food Republic Food Court in Wisma Atria is especially famous. It was where Mr Genna Kojima, 30, the man behind the wok at YacMan in Harajuku, had the popular hawker dish. He liked it so much that he decided to go into a joint venture with Thye Hong's new-generation owners to set up their first outlet in Japan. The Food Republic outlet in Wisma Atria is also popular with Hokkien Mee fans who believe it serves one of the better versions here. YacMan is the first Thye Hong outlet in Japan.
