Chew The Fat – Everton Park Gets More Hipster

When someone tells me to Chew The Fat, I will tell him to have a friendly chat. Huh? Don’t understand, cheem right? That’s the actual meaning behind the idiom aka the name of the cafe. Taking over the space of the defunct Happy 3 Bites café, a dog café under a HDB block, Chew The Fat has joined Nylon Coffee Roasters, Seriously Ice Cream , Grin Affair, The Audacious Cakery… etc in the Everton Park area. Small neighbourhood, multiple cafes, like that how to survive? Design and layout was quite simple since they took over the previous café. Cosy and quiet for an afternoon tea, literally, since they don’t serve any coffee. Teas ($3.00 hot/ $4.00 chilled) are supplied by local brand, Green Pot Tea (Support local!).
