Pint-sized chef Janice Wong is no slouch in the kitchen, especially when it comes to whipping up fantastical creations in the dessert arena. A local talent that has put Singapore on the world map of edible art, her creations will be on show for the Paddock Club guests at this weekend’s Singapore Grand Prix 2015, she tells us more about her incredible edible art installation celebrating local flavours. What was the inspiration behind this edible art installation? Speed. This edible art piece showcases myriads of colours crossing in different directions. The speed, precision, colours and vanity of Formula One is reflected in this art piece which celebrates local flavours of chilli padi, gula melaka, pandan kaya, kaffir lime, caramel, laksa leaf, lemongrass and even bak kwa in the form of praline pop rocks featured on this wall art spanning over two 1.7m by 2m panels.
