Roxy Laksa: The Katong Laksa Story Part I

Great write up. I am glad to say that I am old enough to have gone to Roxy Laksa next to the theatre in the 60s. My parents used to take me and my sister there on Sundays as a special outing together with a trip for cakes from Tay Ban Guan. Roxy Laksa still taste the same from the 60s till now. The food stalls were next to the theatre and the chair was very low and rickety but most importantly the laksa tasted great. I did not go there much in the 70s and one day a friend took my to East Coast Lagoon for laksa and was glad to find it was Roxy Laksa. when I tasted the laksa it was like in the movie - Rattatouille - when Igor (the food critic) ate the rattatouille prepared by Remy. I have to thank Mike for keeping it original. I am still going there for the best laksa.
