Miss my little nephew when I see her.

One fine morning “we were having breakfast around the vicinity and both Ray and Selena told me –hey mummy, there’s a stall available in that hawker centre.” Three days later, they got the keys and were busy setting up Daisy’s Dream Kitchen and plastered with media write ups about funny thespian Selena and her family’s love for makan. The stall was set up in April and they can only laugh when they realized later, the lack of good ventilation in the stall and the long hours required daily. “Wah, no joke, I now understand what it is to be a hawker, standing and buzzing around the hot little space all day long.”, Ray laments, and I reminded him that they only operate half a day for business. They take two days a week off just to make the rempah (the stall is open but they don’t sell anything and can be seen blending and frying away at the back).
