Malaysia, July 23, 2010 - CHICKEN is always a favourite in most Malaysian and Asian homes because it is easy to cook and pleases most palates. You can grill, deep fry, bake, roast, braise and stew it; and it is often the meat of choice when one has to whip up a meal for unexpected guests. It also freezes very well and there is almost no change in the texture after it is thawed. In Malay cuisine, the norm is usually to deep fry chicken pieces that have been marinated simply with salt and turmeric – either fresh or turmeric powder.
