Check out some Quirky themed cafes in Tokyo

Few would have not heard of maid cafes. The popular maid cafes have influenced a variety of other spinoffs that include butlers, cubby maids, granny maids and cross-dressing maids. Granny maid-themed Cafe Rottenmeier was opened by 43-year-old artist Miwa Yanagi as a statement on accepting Japan's ageing society. The cafe features waitresses from the ages of 24 and 77. Hibari-tei is a "floating" cafe that hold themed events at existing maid cafes. Their cross-dressing waitresses are men with regular daytime jobs. For those who prefer to be scared than served, there is the gothic Vampire Cafe and the scary Alcatraz ER. Vampire Cafe is located in Ginza, Tokyo. The place is decorated with coffins and skulls, and offers vampire-themed European cuisine. Alcatraz ER is located in Shibuya and is decorated like a prison asylum.
