La Nonna means 'The Grandmother' in Italian, and how aptly so indeed! The food here is hearty, comfort Italian cuisine with large generous portions. Best of all are the warm and friendly service staff who go out of their way to accomodate your needs and ensure that your dining experience is a pleasurable one. Look out for a tall waiter with a roguish wink and jet black spiky hair, he's one to joke around with customers in his free time! My friend first introduced me to La Nonna in March this year and I've already gone back twice since then just for the permanent 50% discount off all ala carte lunch items during weekdays. There isn't exactly a multiplicity of food items at La Nonna, but what keeps me going back are a dish or two that stand out from the crowd. The Linguini al Granchio is my particular favourite, with the al dente pasta smothered in a delightful tomato cream ...
