Celebrating 15 years of heart-on-sleeve expression and an ever-expanding, fiercely independent discography, Boston-based screamo/post-hardcore veterans The Saddest Landscape are set to make their first Singapore appearance at Anaki Records on December 9, as part of the band’s Japan & Southeast Asia tour. Combining evocative lyricism with the push-and-pull of twinkling melodies and pummelling post-hardcore rhythms, The Saddest Landscape emerged in 2002 during the first wave of “screamo” (or less-popularly distinguished “skramz”), pioneered by bands like Pg. 99. and Circle Takes The Square.
