Since its inception six years ago, the band has forged in the crucible of pop punk, a hook-suffused, soaringly catchy sound with just the right measure of bite. That Bryan Sta Maria, Edwin Waliman, Victoria Chew, Ritz Ang and Shaykh Akbar are a staple at local and regional festivals is testimony of not just how beloved their music is but how necessary as well. Last week, along with the release of its surging single “Gone” , the band announced that Sta Maria and Ang would be exiting the project.
