Tales of the Malay World: Manuscripts & Early Books (Conducted in Malay) Ever wondered what librarians do? In this series of monthly talks at the Public Libraries, find out what makes our librarians tick as they share highlights of their works and the library collections. Associate Librarian Nadirah Norruddin will elaborate on themes and stories behind some of the most renowned works from the Malay Archipelago. She will also highlight the transition from handwritten manuscripts to printing and explore Singapore’s importance as a printing hub for Malay publications in the 19th century.
