Balanchine at the equator: Singapore Dance Theatre celebrates 25 yrs w/ a gala perf of SERENADE Merde @DancingGreenly

, the most widely-performed ballet by George Balanchine, the father of neoclassical ballet, followed by Sleeping Beauty Pas De Deux; and then Goh Choo San’s Beginnings , the first piece ever performed by SDT when it was established in 1988. SDT will also perform ZIN! an upbeat and vibrant piece by renowned Dutch choreographer Nils Christe; a newly commissioned work by award-winning Chinese-American choreographer, Edwaard Liang, featuring the full company of SDT dancers. Also featuring Don Quixote Pas de Deux , a guest performance by principal artists from the Australian Ballet. The vibrant and energetic contemporary ballet, Fives by Goh Choo San, will be the final work to complete the evening.
