Some of the films that will be screened at the premier international film festival are “Ang Babae Sa Septic Tank,” “Busong,” “Thelma,” Ligo Na U, Lapit Na Me, “Rakenrol,” and “Ang Sayaw ng Dalawang Kaliwang Paa.” “Ang Sayaw ng Dalawang Kaliwang Paa” starring Jean Garcia, Paulo Avelino, and Rocco Nacino is also nominated for the Halekulani Golden Orchid Award for Best Narrative Feature. Written and directed by Alvin Yapan, it tackles the story of a confused young man discovering his true gay self within the complexity afforded by poetry and dance.
