More proof that the indie café trend is alive and kicking comes in the form of Strangers' Reunion , which threw open its doors on March 28 . Located in a tidy shophouse along Kampong Bahru, this fresh addition serves up the usual cuppas including piccolo latte ($4) and flat white ($4.90), as well as baked goods like red velvet cupcakes ($3.50) and cranberry rum muffins ($3.50). It's early stages yet, so if you're looking for something more filling, they'll be introducing sarnies and pizzas over the next few weeks. You'll also be pleased to know that the man behind the counter and your coffee, Ryan Tan, has won Singapore's National Barista Championship two years running (no mean feat).
