Supernatural horror meets family drama in Grace, a mini-series set in Singapore.
After the success of last year’s Serangoon Road, HBO Asia is back with a new production titled Grace, a mini-series that mixes family drama with supernatural horror. Filmed in Singapore, it revolves around a family who pays the price for their father’s mistakes, and stars local names such as Constance Song, Pamelyn Chee, Lim Yu Beng and George Young. ‘It focusses on the repercussions of one man’s actions; it explored the sins of our father and what happens when you make a mistake that comes back to haunt you,’ says the locally-based Young, who plays a dad working for his father-in-law. ‘It’s like a Greek tragedy, but with a very Asian focus.’ Helming the all-Asian cast is US-based Russell Wong, a Hollywood veteran with more than 20 years of experience.
