[SHOPPING] Happy Record Store Day! Here are our secret (well, not anymore) Singapore haunts for audiophiles:

It’s a little known fact that Singapore was once home to a buzzing local music scene featuring psychedelic Chinese-dialect pop set to traditional rhythms played on Western rock instruments. Thankfully this sliver of the past is still available hidden away on dusty old vinyl. To indulge in some audio archaeology, strike out for these stores. Simply Music Denny Pue started this shop a decade ago, when his own collection got too big to keep at home. These days he sells high-quality vintage vinyl, including albums by 1960s English-language Singapore pop bands like The Quests. A golden assortment of bebop records, both original and re-issue, is supplemented by a choice selection of 1980s Canto-pop albums, most in pristine condition. Red Point Since opening eight years ago, Ong Chai Koon’s monumental shop has already achieved legendary status among collectors and rival sellers. ...
