Footprints Through Time: Artists Inspired by History--Illinois Artisans & ISM Chicago Gallery

Today's environmentalists urge the current generation of humans to live sustainably and work for the benefit of future generations. However, prior to modern scientists developing the "carbon footprints" concept, indigenous peoples embraced the concept of the interconnectivity of all people and nature. Footprints Through Time: Artists Inspired by History exhibition tells stories that broadly communicate the cultural and environmental landscape of Illinois today and in the past. The fifteen Illinois artists in the exhibition are: Rene Hugo Arceo, David Bower, Catherine Cajandig, Sharon Hoogstraten, Nora Moore Lloyd, Joyce Owens, Chris Pappan, Debra Yepa-Pappan, Christine Redcloud, Norma Robertson, Ellen Sandor (art)n, Robert Wapahi, Ian Weaver, Marjorie Woodruff, and Joe Yazzie.
