I love those black and white wedding portraits from the 50s and 60s - brides then always wore headpieces, with or without an attached veil, to complete their entire look. And it looked beautifully regal and romantic. These days brides tend to wear the veil without any headpiece or tiara - and although it looks simple and pretty, sometimes I wish there was a little more glitter and sparkle on top. There is no need for any elaborate design; even a simple silk peony attached to your chignon can define your look easily without fuss.
