Taxi drivers are like the conduit between the different social strata in Singapore; driving through our streets at all times of the day, talking to people from all walks of life, telling stories from their daily experiences. There are really very few occupations that allow for this hugely personal experience of what Singapore is about. And we want to know what these stories are, who are these men and women who ply our roads, in search of their next meal, in search of the next pair of ears willing to share in their lives. This project will showcase a slideshow presentation of our very own unique Singapore Taxi Drivers through the work of a few insightful photographers. This collective project is initiated by Chris Yap.
