While my friends find the idea of moving houses exciting, it has been pretty tough for me. I was born in Indonesia and lived in Batam for a while. My family of six moved to Singapore when I was 4 after applying for permanent residence. Our family moved houses from Yishun, Woodlands and Bedok until I was six. I remember waking up very early in the morning every day to travel from Woodlands to Siglap because my father worked just beside my kindergarten. THE LONGEST I STAYED IN ONE HOUSE WAS AT BEDOK NORTH STREET 2 FOR SIX YEARS. In 2001, we bought a flat in Bedok during my primary school days. Soon after, my family sold it six years later to buy a bigger house in Bedok Reservoir when I entered secondary school. However, due to financial reasons, my family moved back to Indonesia in 2011.
