Conservation status: Does not appear on the URA Master Plan 2008 or the Parks and Waterbodies Plan . Current conservation activities: The intertidal area is regularly surveyed by wildsingapore . About the name: Terumbu =A reef or rock at low tide but submerged at high water; Semakau =unknown, but semak =scrub or undergrowth. Name probably means "Submerged reef next to Pulau Semakau".
