Reviewed by Lo Wan Ni, Manager, Public Libraries Services I have soft spot for plots that are vaguely apocalyptic and dystopian, that’s why James Patterson’s Zoo caught my attention. Zoo considers the possibility of a coordinated animal uprising resulting in brutal attacks by domesticated animals in urban environments and wild predators hunting human for sport. This 2012 novel has been picked up by film companies to be produced as a TV series, and 2015 saw the CBS premiere of Zoo , the TV series. Having read and watched Season 1 of of the TV series, there are marked differences in the plot, characters and pace. Zoo the novel pits Jackson Oz, PhD dropout as the main character.
