Decorated with feisty urban murals to reflect its philosophy and pop-culture credo (the main fish art on the floor of the entrance was designed by tattoo artist Chris Garver of Miami Ink fame), this 60-seater also prides itself on having fresh, well-sourced ingredients for innovative dishes. The pomegranate miso black cod ($24) made with pomegranate-honey miso, and the Kinki-style okonomiyaki ($24) – a crispy pancake made with Kinki’s home-made baguette base, topped with Hokkaido scallops, prawns, applewood-smoked bacon, sweet onions and mozzarella – are our favourites.
