I may not know how dance first entered your life or how it ended, but I hope this open letter will remind you of the passion you once possessed for dance. For me, dance is more than a mere sport or art. It all started with an involuntary sign-up for a ballet class at a community centre when I was 5, which eventually became part-and-parcel of my life. 16 years later, I am still creating experiences through dance. But for those who have stopped dancing, perhaps this letter could bring forth unexpected takeaways during that phase of your life. One of the greatest takeaways I've had from the times I spent at the dance studio was realising my own limits before going beyond them. The studio is a demoralising yet motivating place. It is where you witness your own physical limitations. It is also where you are, at times, filled with envy upon watching other dancers executing steps...
