This is one of the saddest and most difficult things for a PokéManiac like me to say. I think PokémonGO is doomed to fail. And the reason is simple. In its excitement to embrace new technology, the Niantic game overlooked the one thing that was key to the success of not only the Nintendo games , but the 937-episode animated series as well. To put it simply, PokémonGO overlooked the traditional bond between Pokémon and their Trainers . I remember my very first Pokémon on Gameboy Light. Back when I was in primary school, the choice between Squirtle, Bulbasaur and Charmander was the most ridiculously difficult one, because the decision really mattered.
