Mediacorp's online entertainment service, Toggle, has landed itself in hot water after a blackface blunder . The entertainment platform received flak, and resulted in them issuing two apologies. On Oct 25, social media users discovered an episode where a Chinese actor had his face painted black, to portray an African character. Many netizens were outraged, stating that the act was racist and ignorant. The episode is from Toggle's original series, I Want To Be A Star , which is a comedy about the dreams and challenges faced by various calefares trying to break into stardom.
