Where to start with Singapore’s amazing food options? We certainly love the vast array of great local eats, but sometimes it’s even better with a twist. We salute the creative and often daring chefs who come up with some truly exciting options. At Wild Rocket , chef Willin Low – who arguably coined the term Modern Singapore cuisine – is continuously playing with his menu; check out his current offerings such as Iberico pork char siew with Shanghai vegetables and quinoa ($38) or laksa pesto ($24). 10A Upper Wilkie Rd (6339 9448). Sun 11.30am-3pm;Tue-Sat noon-3pm, 6.30pm-11pm. Another favourite since their opening last year is Wok & Barrel , helmed by former hawker chef Shen Tan. Among her signature creations is the must-try beef rendang pizza ($15.90, which we named one of the city’s best dishes in June), as well as the ‘Shendol’ (her version of the dessert chendol, $9.90)....
