Set designer Julie Liew tells us what goes behind-the-scenes of @wherewascharlie 's stunning 'Light Breaks In' MV.

Having worked on the art for several local music videos, I can safely say that creating the look for Charlie Lim's 'Light Breaks In ' has been the most personal and challenging experience so far. Director Jonathan Choo, 28, cinematographer Rachel Liew, 26, and I are huge fans of Charlie's music, and we have such respect for each other's craft. So when Jon and Rachel approached him with their idea to make a music video for him early last year, we leapt at the opportunity to work together again. Often, musicians get caught up with a music video's mass appeal or virality, and forget that the narrative should first serve the music and lyrics.
