We’re talking Blue Jasmine , newly opened halal Thai restaurant at Park Hotel Farrer Park, which, while not starring Cate Blanchett, is pretty versatile too, in terms of its palate-pleasing offerings. We started our culinary rendezvous with the Deep-Fried Larb Chicken ($12), which allowed us the first impression of a satisfying crunch into crispy, minced chicken balls (roasted with chili, kaffir lime leaf and crispy ground rice), before easing us into the slow unraveling of the hidden density of the dish’s flavour. The Larb Salmon ($18) proved an equally rewarding dish, packing a punch with its sprightly, succulent mélange of salmon tartare, tomato concassee, red shallots and lemon grass.
