Anyone want to read my @TimeOutSG article for December? It's a rhetorical question. Because you do.

December is here – now is the time for frantic competitive shopping and frustrated hindsight when you realise you should have started ages ago. For me, it always comes down to an ill-planned dash to Orchard Road – along with a billion other folks who have the same idea – where my last-ditch hopes of picking up something nice for the missus dissolves into a fight for my sanity. Granted, I generally try to stay away from the malls along Orchard Road, happy to view them from afar and nod my head in agreement whenever someone mentions the futuristic superiorty of Singapore’s shopping options. On the occasion I am there, walking among the glass and concrete jungle of consumerism, I’m less a fish out of water than a fish taken out of water, put into a space ship, jettisoned into a wormhole and ending up in a different dimension surrounded by a culture that uses fish to mop the w...
