Singapore showed their class today in the Asia Rugby Championship Division II final (ARC DII final) as they dismantled Thailand, 38-13 with a clinical display of rugby at the Taipei Municipal Stadium. In what was a similar trend to the first match between Chinese Taipei and India, the final seemed like it would be a tight affair as Singapore lead Thailand 14-10 late into the first half. But a try in the last minute of the first half to Singapore’s prop, David Gull seemed to take the wind out the Thai dreams as Singapore went into the sheds with a handy 21-10 lead. And the game all but ended as first, Maverick Lim scored in the 7th minute and then Robert Riha followed up in quick succession as Singapore raced to a 33-13 lead with 25-minutes remaining.
