The 160km-wide sandstorm - called a haboob - engulfed the small town of Mesa last Wednesday. A CNN News helicopter captured footage that appears to show two mysterious objects darting in and out of the dust cloud. The video was streamed live on air and has been causing a storm of its own across the web ever since. The glowing orbs fly just ahead of the storm, before one ascends to the top of the cloud wall. Just before it moves out of the frame, the flying object appears to grow and change shape, with a ring of light appearing around it.
