YOUR VIEW: There is no need for 7 million people

Agree. Every govt responsiblity is to take care of their own citizens first, not trying to blame them for their faults and then try and replace them with a few million foriegners and new citizens. Cost of living is already way too high today, adding more people will make it worst. You will see your HDB going up into millions and private properties out of reach of all but the richest singaporeans. Public transport is already bad enough at peak hours with little being down to ease the congestion. If they can't improve it short term by reducing breakdowns now, how do you expect them to do all those mega plans that they proposes by 2030. Taking a lifetime to repay housing loans is not a good option for citizens at all. How about a bit of real action on their part in improving local healthcare, transport and reduce the skyhigh cost of living today instead of empty reassurances ...
