Singapore's first grammy nominee Arun Shenoy (@arunshen) hopes to win, despite the odds

Singapore's first nominee at the Grammy awards, Arun Shenoy, is hopeful that he can bring home a trophy, despite the odds. His debut fusion-flamenco album Rumbadoodle is in the running for the Best Pop Instrumental Album accolade at the ceremony in Los Angeles on Feb 10. "I am up against legends, people who have been nominated for Grammys multiple times, so to win would be an incredible feat. "But you never know, at the end of the day, it's how the industry perceives your work." The other nominees are all American smooth jazz heavyweights with Grammy wins and chart-topping albums to their names - trumpeter Chris Botti, saxophonist Dave Koz, guitarist Larry Carlton and guitar and saxophone duo Gerald Albright and Norman Brown.
