Football: Lions to face La Liga giants Atletico Madrid in August

SPANISH giants Atletico Madrid will play a friendly match in Singapore this August. The Uefa Europa League champions, who are led by superstar striker Radamel Falcao, will also travel to Bangkok and Beijing to showcase their star-studded squad. In Singapore, besides a friendly against the national team, Atletico will host a series of coaching clinics for youngsters. Said club president Miguel Angel Gil Marin, who is in town as a guest of billionaire Peter Lim : "We decided to come to Singapore in August to show our support for the Peter Lim Scholarship.
