Singapore's investments in Iskandar set to rise

SINGAPORE: Singapore's investment in Iskandar Malaysia is set to soar with Global Capital & Development's (GCD) deal worth S$1 billion in gross development value with Link (THM) Holdings Pte. Ltd. to develop the Media Village @ Medini Iskandar. In a statement Thursday, GCD, the concession holder of Medini, said Singapore, the largest single foreign investor in Iskandar Malaysia, had invested over S$2 billion since 2006. GCD chief executive officer Keith Martin said Link (THM)'s development of Media Village @Medini Iskandar would provide a catalyst for further business activity in Medini and complemented the Pinewood Iskandar Malaysia Studios project.
