Body found in Whampoa River

SINGAPORE - A body was found floating in Whampoa River near block 38A Bendemeer Road on Tuesday morning. The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it received a call at just past 9am. Its officers arrived about seven minutes later and retrieved the body of a man, who was pronounced dead at the scene. The SCDF said there were no visible injuries on the victim.
