Keep an eye out for Laduree's first Singapore store, soon to open at Takashimaya

The famed macarons and confectioneries from French patisserie Laduree have found a home in Singapore - with the luxury brand opening two outlets at Takashimaya Shopping Centre by April. Laduree's entrance here is a partnership with luxury watch retailer The Hour Glass, which also has a store at the shopping mall. Both parties were brought together by Toshin Development Singapore, a subsidiary of the Takashimaya group, a spokesman for The Hour Glass tells Life! . She says: "Both brands are family enterprises that specialise in luxury retail. Toshin knew that Laduree started looking for a partner here three years ago and assisted in introducing both parties. Rest assured, we will replicate the same experience as that in Paris." She declines to give more details of the opening.
