#auspol Mitch Fifield announces $100000 to grow cultural links with Singapore

The Turnbull Government has announced more than $100,000 for arts and cultural collaborations with Singapore. The funds have been dispersed across four major projects that have been selected for strengthening ties between the two countries. The projects were identified by the Australia Singapore Arts Group, which is driving a program of activities to enhance cultural relations and reach new audiences. The initiatives include: The Borak Arts Series Conference, a major Southeast Asian performing arts conference to be held in Adelaide as part of the OzAsia Festival in November 2018. This will be the first time the Borak Arts Series has been held outside of Southeast Asia. The development of Dragon Ladies Don’t Weep , a new live performance work by Australian contemporary arts company Chamber Made in collaboration with Singapore’s CultureLink.
