The five men were charged in a district court outside Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday, prosecutor Amirah Mohamed Yusoff said. All pleaded not guilty to being involved in the beating of Chia Buang Hin, aged 35, at a roadblock and police station last month. Four constables were charged with intentionally causing hurt to Mr Chia, while a lance corporal was charged with 'disobeying a direction of the law with intent to cause injury.'
