Dr Tan Eng Liang has been appointed the Chef de Mission of the Singapore Contingent to the 26th South East Asian Games 2011 Indonesia. -- ST PHOTO: ALBERT SIM DR TAN Eng Liang has been appointed the Chef de Mission of the Singapore Contingent to the 26th South East Asian Games 2011 Indonesia in November. As a former national water polo player, Dr Tan had represented Singapore at several major competitions including the Melbourne 1956 Olympic Games, Tokyo 1958 Asian Games and the SEAP Games. Having direct experience as a sportsman he is ready to lead the Singapore Contingent with a clear understanding of their challenges and aspirations, the Singapore National Olympic Council (SNOC) said.
